  • It's certainly an easy going game, one in which players can socialize throughout, and it's easy enough to be a success. It's a good game for younger children to help teach them strategy. Good tactics are proven to help, it isn't just about luck, a player needs to do the best with the cards they have. I'm going to keep my copy - I can recommend Cash Trap because of what it is designed to do - be a light, entertaining family game.

  • Interesting challenges, and a lot of fun, caused howls of laughter on our play test. For many this will be an excellent game that they will enjoy time & time again. If everybody enjoys giving as good as they get, Cash Trap is a serious contender for parting with some real cash!!
Mike Head, The Halesowen Board Gamers Club

  • The rules are clear, after 10 minutes you will be playing. Strategy plays an important part by choosing to help yourself or hinder an opponent. Most will play it as a friendly family game, apart from a few dirty tactics, it will be a fun & relaxing way to spend an evening. After 2 games your probably hooked! Cash Trap will be a success given the right breaks.

  • Everyone from the Manchester Mind Sport Olympiads was raving about Cash Trap and I would like to buy six copies to take to the Guernsey Mind Sport Olympiads.
Tony Corfe, Mind Sport Olympiad Event Organiser

  • Having seen the game at SPIEL ’05 Essen, I have as yet been unable to play Cash Trap, but it is a family game, which from the explanation sounds fun.

  • Cash Trap is a good game for family play. We all enjoyed playing, turns moved quickly and the card play was fun. Will have an appeal to general gamers.

Not only is "Cash Trap" a tantalising mixture of luck and skill, it is also an ideal game for encouraging children to think ahead and understand that actions have consequences!

Totally absorbing & entertaining either as a player or spectator!
Mrs Jones, Cheshire

Very enjoyable, a good mix of skill & luck, it became exciting at the end rather than fizzling out. It is suitable for a wide age range.Mrs Gardner, Wrexham

Great game, we keep playing it again & again. Real family fun.

It’s a really addictive game, the luck with the cards, the tactics and the blocking make it completely my kind of game.

One of the games strengths is it can be played and enjoyed on a simple level by parents and children. With more thought it becomes challenging. Cash Trap does not just grow on you, it grows with you

Because Cast Trap can be played in singles, doubles and by 2, 3 or 4 players at any time, it ensures each game brings with it a refreshing sense of newness

This game has a certain something that makes me feel warm inside, an innocent charm. A whiff of long summer holidays when i used to play games with my sister.

I like the game and can't wait to play it again. Ben loved it as well and wouldn't shut up in the car on the way home.

VARIATIONS
  • Why not play Cash Trap in couples or even in teams.
  • For a quicker or longer game, play using more or less Money Bags than stated in the rules.
  • Let young children play using the green movement cards only.
  • For a more challenging 2 player game, select 2 colours each, - side by side. Start play with 4 Money Bags on each side, play using your cards as normal but you now have to make the best move knowing your Bags will cross paths.
  • In a 2 player game divide the pack equally into 2 identical stacks, each player draws from his/her own stack.

TIPS & TRICKS
  • Your Money Bags, if strategically placed, can also act as temporary barriers across your opponents route.
  • 'Combination' cards are very useful towards the end of game play, but holding onto them may prove difficult!
  • Discarding Cash Traps from an opponent's Money Bag can allow one of the next players to move that Money Bag further away.
  • When you have a Money Bag poised and ready to enter your bank you may wish to place Cash Traps around yourself to stop an opponent from moving you back.
